Tyler Turner – poet, facilitator, student and researcher
Tyler Turner has worked with us at Rotten Poetry on many projects, including our own collection Eclecticism, Bolsover Castle Festival of the Arts, Whitwell Festival of Music and many other performances.
Tyler’s passions are community arts and coal mining heritage. She frequently collaborates with Rotten Poetry, Junction Arts, Writing East Midlands, Bolsover District Council, Cultural Corridor and English Heritage and is the current Writer-in-Residence for the Bolsover Castle and Pleasley Pit Museum.
Tyler is a facilitator of writing and arts workshops and events with a wealth of experience. She has a particular interest in working with young people, encouraging writers of the future. Her current project is called Margaret Cavendish’s Mind Lab at Bolsover Castle which she is working on while she completes her PhD research into poetics and identity in the coalfields.
We are very excited to be able to present her first solo collection; Threadbare.
Threadbare takes you on a journey of the poet’s musings on life, death and change. It is a collection of many of her early writings, spanning many years of formative writing and development. These poems reflect her interest in local heritage; cultural history and class, but are also deeply personal rooted in her own experiences. Introspective and thought-provoking, this collection of poems invites you to consider the passage of time and the changes that come with it.
Threadbare will be available from Rotten Poetry June 2026. It is available to preorder now!
